1) I notice that some stars seem farther away then others, i also notice that they are not all the same color, but it is hard to tell from such a long distance with no microscope. It is clear that some appear to be different colors. It is also clear or at least it looks like some stars are bigger then other ones, but it could just be the distance we are at that causes this illusion.
2) Yes some stars do seem brighter than others, it could just be because of the distance far away they are from us, because if you see something bright but its close of course it will be brighter closer then it will far away.
