Alyssa Walker (69 words):
This fascinating article tells us that people are able to actually see the planet mars from their backyards! Even with just an ordinary telescope, of you go outside and look to the east, you will be able to see it. It is also very bright and crisply defined in shape! Don't you want to know why mars is apearing brighter? I know I would!http://space.about.com/od/astronomynews/a/marsbrightens.htm

There has been some solar storms interfering minorly with Earth. More disruptions are to come from the storms it may not pass by quietly. The Sun is mid-way through an 11 year sun storm that could have a major impact on the Earth and Space. It can disrupt electric power grids, trigger black outs and fire alarms, and radio communications on Earth.

Joshua Branker (82 words):
Remember that movie we just watched about the comet coming on a crash course to Earth, and then Countries sent astronauts to try to place nukes on it, to try to prevent collision? Even though in the movie it did not work, it may still be our best option on stopping asteriods, comets, and meteors. In the article below, not only will you be able to see the drawbacks to this idea, but also the benefits it will bring to Earth.

Carter Gentry (79 words):
The article is about how the Sun's outer layer, the Corona, and how it can reach temperatures over one million degrees while it's surface only reaches temperatures up to five thousand degrees. Scientist discovered the existence of a new breed of solar wave and its unique magnetic oscillations that transport heat to the Corona. The Sun is not as quiet as many people think and is of paramount importance because it provides energy for life to exist on Earth.

This is about technology helping astronauts in space. There are 2 robots currently in space and they are helping astronauts do work. They also are designing a robotic glove that can assist with hard tasks. This will help NASA and can maybe conclude to new discoveries. After all the technology is created and used, future research could lead to robots being controlled by civilians, like you and me.

This is a riveting article about how the moons magnetic fields work. It discusses how a crater impact could be the reason for the magnetic activity on certain parts of the moon. Although the moon does not have a magnetic field such as the Earth, scientists believe that it may not have always been that way. This article discusses how and why the Moon has magnetic fields and it is very interesting.

Let’s recycle! Even the galaxies do it! In this article it talks about how there is nowhere near enough matter for stars to form at the observed rates for so long. So scientist have found evidence that the galaxies of gas flowing back into distant galaxies that are actively forming new stars, validating a key part of "galactic recycling".

A chance of in asteroid hitting the Earth in 2040. 1 in about 625 chance of it hitting us. The article is interesting because it gives dates of approximate distance of it getting to the Earth.

My article explains how The Canadian Space Agency is teaming up with NASA to Refuel robot's in space. The experiment that they are conducting is using their Robot “Dextre” to test technologies, tools and techniques that might be helpful to refuel satellites in orbit, mostly satellites that were not built to be refurbished.

This article, while older, shows the unknown of space and how there are many things in it we have yet to discover. This also shows how "space junk" may be misinterprited as something more (if that's what the object is)

In this article scientists come up with a theory that the solar system sacrificed a giant planet in order to save Earth. Research from scientists suggest that the orbits of giant planets were affected when the solar system was about 600 million years old. Scientists are still doing further research on this topic and how they believe that there were initially four other giant planets that were somehow ejected from the solar system.

In this article a new X-ray study of the remains of an exploded star, the Cassiopeia A super nova indicates that the supernova that disrupted the massive star may have turned it inside out in the process! The data show that the distributions of sulfur and silicon are similar, as are the distributions of magnesium and neon. The scientists found clumps of almost pure iron, expressing that this material must have been produced by a nuclear reaction.

This article is about the performance of babies doing certain activities using different methods to record data from them.It shows that 14 month old babies will imitate or copy an adult if performing a sinple task such a touchin a lamp head. When the baby is put in the room 70% of them complete this action. Then once a distractor is added to the scene it drops 20% from 70 of how many 14 month old babies act upon the lamp.

In this article they talk about all the planets in the solar system. They question the possibilities of other forms of life. They also talk about our ancestors and say they might have been different from us. This is called by human evaluation. They also question religion and theories. They have different perspectives on how human came on the Earth.

Brandy Gibson :
This article is about a group of scientist who have discovered an older solar system. They believe it is 13 million year old. It was believed to have only two planets. When the solar system was created it didn’t have any chemicals (hydrogen and helium). The chemicals were produced from the inside of stars. This article is interesting and really cool!

This article is about new discoveries on Jupiter's moon Io and volcanic surfaces on this moon. They have found that Jupiter's moon Io is volcanically active, this research has been going on for about 400 years, since Galileo himself discovered Io. It has been shown that Io has undergone significant change in the past few years due to volcanic activity. Read on to get more information on this ground breaking event.
